For specific accessibility information about the program(s) you are planning to attend, please contact Jamie Katz Court (communications -at- pinecone.org; 919-664-8333 x103) or Courtney Wheeler (membership -at- pinecone.org; ph 919-664-8333 x102).

A Note About Sales Tax
In November 2016, Wake County residents voted in favor of a half-cent increase to the local sales tax rate to help fund an expansion of public bus and train services. As of April 1, 2017 the sales tax rate is now 7.25%, and this increase also applies to the sales tax collected for tickets sold after April 1 to PineCone concerts (Mountain Faith (April 7) or Sarah Jarosz (April 21))!
While PineCone has NOT raised ticket prices, the prices listed on the ticket order form DO include sales tax. In 2013, the NC Legislature passed a new law taxing admissions to a variety of events, from movies and sporting events to concerts and theater performances, which went into effect on Jan. 1, 2014. PineCone is still a non-profit organization, but non-profits are not exempt from this law, and we cannot afford to absorb this new tax, which is 6.75% in Wake County (until April 1, 2017). This tax will be applied at whichever outlet you use to purchase your PineCone tickets. Please let us know if you have any questions.
PineCone accepts payments by cash, check, or credit cards.
All ticket sales are final. We do not offer refunds for ticket purchases. In the event of a cancellation, tickets may be exchanged or refunded based on circumstances.
Tickets for events that you are unable to use may be donated to PineCone's annual fund as a tax-deductable contribution, provided that they are returned to the Box Office at least 48 hours prior to the given performance.
Exchanges are available as a special benefit to Contributor Level PineCone members and above. Exchanges must be handled through PineCone's box office (919-664-8302) during normal business hours, no later than 48 hours in advance of the performance date printed on your ticket.
No money will be refunded for tickets of lesser value. Customer must pay difference for higher value tickets. Tickets may not be exchanged for co-promotions. Contact us for further details.
Tickets ordered through PineCone's box office will be mailed to ticket buyer unless otherwise instructed. Orders received less than ten (10) calendar days prior to the performance will be held to be picked up at will call on the night of the performance. Will call typically opens an hour before showtime.
A $5.34 handling charge (per order) will be placed on all phone, fax, and mail orders placed through PineCone's box office. Tickets ordered online through Ticketmaster are subject to Ticketmaster's fees. There is a $25 dollar charge for all returned checks.
In the event of a sellout, the PineCone box office will maintain a waiting list in case tickets become available. To add your name to a waiting list, call 919-664-8302. If tickets become available, PineCone staff will contact people on the waiting list on a first-come, first-serve basis.
All mobile phones and pagers must be silenced before entering the theatre.
No cameras or recording devices of any kind are permitted in the theatres during a performance.
PineCone members are eligible for discounted tickets; Basic, Student and Senior Level members can order a pair of discount tickets to any PineCone concert. Family Level or Musician members and above can order multiple tickets at the discounted member rate.
Group discounts are available for many of our performances. Contact the PineCone box office at 919-664-8302 for information.
Order Online Anytime!
PineCone members receive exclusive pre-sale access to tickets to ALL Down Home Concerts.
You can purchase your tickets 3 ways:
ONLINE (via Ticketmaster.com - you will need your PineCone member password)
BY PHONE (PineCone Box Office: 919-664-8302)
IN PERSON (at the Duke Energy Center box office, located in front of Memorial Auditorium's lobby)
If you choose to purchase your tickets by phone via PineCone’s box office, we only charge a flat, $5.34 per order handling charge (includes sales tax), whether you order two tickets or 10, whether you are reserving tickets for one concert or all 6! NEW in 2016: If you are a member at the SUPPORTER LEVEL or above, we’ll waive this handling charge for your order!
PineCone staff will make every effort to meet any specific seating requests; however, we only have one ticket terminal in the office, so we can only process one order at a time, and the first day of our pre-sale is ALWAYS the busiest ticketing day of the year. And there are only 3 of us on staff, so checking phone messages also slows down our ability to take your orders over the phone. We LOVE talking with our members during the pre-sale, but we also want to ensure that we are serving each of you who calls us as efficiently as possible, so if you can’t get through right away, we recommend that you call us back instead of leaving us a message.
By contrast, reserving your tickets online allows you to choose your seats in real-time. However, if you order your tickets online, your order will be subject to Ticketmaster’s fees. Also, keep in mind that the PineCone pre-sale lasts for a FULL WEEK. So if you have questions or want to talk with us at length about your seating for any reason, you might prefer to call us later in the pre-sale week.
Finally, you can also fill out the Down Home Concerts ticket order form and mail it to us, e-mail it to us, or fax it to us - we will process these pre-orders in the order we receive them.
PineCone is committed to making our programs accessible and welcoming to all people, including people with vision, hearing, sensory, and/or mobility concerns. The Duke Energy Center’s services include assistive listening devices, on-site wheelchairs, shuttle services, and wheelchair-accessible parking, entrances, and seating areas, as well as audio description (by request) and sign language interpretation (by request). Please contact the Center directly if you have specific questions: 919-996-8700. Or ask us questions when you call PineCone’s box office - we want to ensure that you to have the best experience possible at these concerts!
