PineCone Bluegrass Summer Camp Alumni Jessica Lang, Chloe Lang and Sam Stage swept the 2017 Shakori Hills Grassroots Festival of Music and Dance Grassroots Guitar, Mandolin, and Fiddle competitions. Special thanks to all the PineCone instructors and mentor Jef Walter for teaching and encouraging youth musicians.

These young musicians will perform with local musician and Carolina PineCones mentor Jef Walter as The Lang Sisters Band on Sunday, June 11 as part of the Music of the Carolinas series - the concert is free and open the public, but free tickets are required, and the tickets are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 2 p.m. the day of the show. Seating is general admission.

And the Carolina PineCones' next performance will be at Beer & Banjos at Raleigh Times on Tuesday, June 6, where they'll open for Hank & Pattie! (Note: Raleigh Times hosts the music on the second floor, which is not wheelchair accessible.)
